Profile: Arlington Park chairman Richard Duchossois had never won the Beverly D, a race that is named in honor of his late wife. That is until 2010 when a filly bay the name of Eclair de Lune (GER) (Marchand de Sable) had won the race for him and Ron McAnally who is best known as the trainer of 2 time Arlington Million winner John Henry. Mr. Duchossois was quoted in saying that he wanted to win the race more then the Kentucky Derby.

Eclair de Lune started her career in France where she won twice and finished third in a Group 3 stakes. Sent to the US, She started her US career with 2 fourth place finishes before finishing second in the Modesty in the race before her Beverly D win.
