Profile: She was a decent filly in Europe, but blossomed in the US. Royal Heroine (IRE) (Lypheor (GB)) started her career in England. While there, she won the Princess Margret, Sceptre Stakes and G3 Child Stakes while finishing second in the 1000 Guineas. She ended her European portion of her career with a win in the G2 Prix de l'Opera at Longchamp. After a poor finish in the Yellow Ribbon, she would win the G1 Hollywood Derby. She would pick up wins in the G3 Inglewood (which was after she fell over another horse in her previous race), and G2 Beverly Hills Handicap. In August of 1984, she traveled to Arlington Park to face the boys in the G1 Arlington Million. She would finish second behind the legendary John Henry. After a runner up finish in her next race, she would win the G1 Breeders' Cup Mile defeating Cozzene who would win the race the next year.

The final race of her career would be a win in the G1 Matriarch. She would be named 1984 Female Grass Horse. As a broodmare, she wasn't as successful with zero stakes winners. Although her son Royal Sabre (Sharpen Up (GB)) was G3 placed in England.

His dam Goofed (Court Martial (GB)) is a stakes winner. She is also the dam to G1 winner in France and the US Nobiliary (Vaugley Noble (IRE)), and G2 winner Barcas (Sailor).
