Even though there are still a few big races in the US left in 2012, most of the major horses are either done for the year or are retired. With that being said, I thought I would do a post on some predictions to possibly happen in the upcoming year.
* Animal Kingdom kicking butt everywhere. That is if he can stay healthy, which is not his strong point. His Mile though was amazing, and if it wheren't for Wise Dan, the place might have exploded. Not Zenyatta explosion, but still a nice amount as he did win the Derby last year.
* Successful Dan showing why big brothers are cool. Sure Wise Dan is going to be HOY, but honestly I feel that Successful Dan is a much better horse then him. Like Animal Kingdom though, he has soundness issues.
* Groupie Doll and Royal Delta will defeat the males. I think the first one will do it in the Met Mile, the second in either the Woodward or the Classic.
* Mucho Macho Man will turn the tables on Fort Larned. Where? I'm not sure, but if Mike Smith stays on him watch out!
* Game On Dude will not be as good next year. Honestly if he can rebound in the Native Diver I will eat my words, but I don't think he will.
* Dullahan will race only on Poly/Cushion. He's 3 for 3 on it and honestly without it, he's an average horse at best.
* Questing and Royal Delta have an epic DelCap. I don't think it will be Blind Luck/Havre de Grace epic, but it will def come down to the wire. Please AGS make it a G1!!!
* My Miss Aurelia moves to grass. I just have this feeling that she could be a total monster on grass, that's not saying her dirt record is aweful, but there is just something about her that makes me think she could be a special one on the green stuff.
* Jess's Dream and the currently unnamed Zenyatta colt will have a "chat" with whose momma is better. :P
* Bullet Train will get some nice mares, of course not as nice as little brother (grumbles ;))
* HOY will be a 3yo. Just ask me in November of next year who tthat will be.
