Once upon a time there was a filly by the name of Ouija Board. Now Ouija was a very good horse, she had won the Epsom Oaks, Irish Oaks and ran 3rd in the Arc before winning the Breeders' Cup Filly/Mare Turf, not once but twice. In her "off year" (her 4 year old season was considered her worst of the 4 years she raced) she went to Hong Kong where she won the Hong Kong Vase.
Her trainer Ed Dunlop was back in Hong Kong for today's big races. This time he sent out Epsom Oaks winner Snow Fairy in the Cup which was a quarter mile shorter then the Vase. Like Ouija Board before her, Snow Fairy showed that she was among the best of the best when it came turf racing with a win in the Cup. It capped her year where she won in England, Japan and Hong Kong. What's next for her? Well she will be returning next year with an eye to defend her title in the Cup, as well as making a start in the Breeders' Cup in the F/M Turf on the same track where her predicessor won her final race.
