Profile: Even though his career is only 5 starts old, Hootenanny (Quality Road) could be considered a bit of a world traveler. At 2 he has won a Breeders Cup race (Juvenile Turf), finished second in a Group 1 (Prix Morney in France) and won a race at Royal Ascot (Windsor Castle). The sky is the limit for him, here is his Juvy Turf win.



Sire

Quality Road (Elusive Quality) has one crop currently racing and will likely be the Champion Freshman Sire. He also has G2 winner Blofeld, and stakes placed Roaming. As a racer he won the FL Derby, Met Mile, Donn and Woodward. He also finished second in the Travers.

Elusive Quality (Gone West) is a former record holder at a mile on grass. He is most known however for being the sire of the popular Derby/Preakness winner Smarty Jones, French champ Elusive City and Classic winner Raven's Pass. His dam Touch of Greatness (Heros Honor) is also the dam to G2 winner in France Rossini (Miswaki). This is the female family of 2yo Champ Anees (Unbridled) and 3yo champion Questing (GB) (Hard Spun) (though a different branch).

Kobla (Strawberry Road (AUS)) was winless in two starts. Quality Road is her best foal, but is the granddam of G2 placed in Europe King Ledley (Stormin Fever). Her dam Winglet (Alydar) is a G2 winner. This makes Kobla a full sister to 3yo Champion Ajina (Strawberry Road (AUS)) and 1/2 sister to G3 winner Rob's Spirit (Theatrical (IRE)).

More Hennessy (Hennessy) never won in her career which was only 1 start. Hootenanny is her second foal.

Hennessy (Storm Cat) won the Hopeful and finished second in the BC Juvenile. He is the sire of G1 winner Henny Hughes, G3 winner in Japan Copano Fujin (JPN), G2 placed Wiseman's Ferry (the sire to 2 time HOY winner Wise Dan). His dam Island Kitty (Hawaii (SAF)) is G1 placed. She is also the dam to G1 placed Shy Tom (Blushing Groom (FR)) and G1 winner Pearl City (Carson City). This is the same female family as G1 winner Field Cat (Herbager (FR)).

Dance Move (Capote) was unraced. She is the dam to G3 placed Forty Moves (Gold Fever). This is the same female family as G2 placed Ghostly Moves (Silver Ghost) and G1 placed Gold Mover (Gold Fever).
