Sorry this is a little late. Another week is in the books and this week's list expands to 7! So yes there will be two new horses added to the list and I'm hopeful both of them make it. Descriptions for all 7 plus horses who may have dropped of the list and others considered are back!
1. Cairo Prince (Pioneerof the Nile): Although he will be skipping the Fountain of Youth, he remains on top for now.
2. Top Billing (Curlin): Could give Cario Prince all he can handle in the Florida Derby should he do well in the Fountain of Youth. We'll see if he's just as good as his stablemate Honor Code.
3. Shared Belief (Candy Ride (ARG)): Back on the track after a quarter crack had him sidelined. He has to make the San Felipe on Big Cap day if he has any chance to make not only the SA Derby, but the KY Derby as well.
4. Honor Code (A.P. Indy): If he does indeed make the Gotham, he may face Uncle Sigh who was the runner up in the Withers to Samraat.
5. Conquest Titan (Birdstone): He's going to have to prove that Holy Bull runner up finish was no fluke in the Fountain of Youth.
6. Kristo (Distorted Humor): Although Midnight Hawk could only finish third in the Lewis, I still like this guy. Plus his cross has already produced a Derby winner (DH out of a mare who is by a son of Seattle Slew).
7. Candy Boy (Candy Ride (ARG)): I do this with some concern for his future (as well as Shared Belief). The winner of the Lewis this past weekend, he was born in KY, but all Californian on the dam's side.
Others Considered
Vicar's In Trouble (Into Mischief): I can't put him on the list yet, because I want to see how he does in the Risen Star.
Havana (Dunkirk): Back on the work tab, my guess NY route?
Strong Mandate (Tiznow): The route he appears to be preparing for has produced 4 Three Year Old Male Champions (including his stablemate) since 2004.
