Well my dark horse is skipping this race. She's a Tiger might have hit her ceiling. The longer they go the better Sweet Reason should get. Secret Compass could be an interesting one, but don't count out Concave or Untapable, their jocks went 1-2 in last year's Juvenile. Going with Artemis Agrotera here.

Dank won the Beverly D in her only US start, but hasn't run since. Tiz Flirtatous only lost once this year to Marketing Mix. Laughing will try to take them all the way, but I just think Marketing Mix is going to be too tough for these horses and she gets that win after being so close last year.

Renee's Titan has done nothing since defeating Beholder earlier this year. Judy the Beauty has had rotten luck up to defeating Groupie Doll in her last race. Sweet Lulu is shortning up as is Summer Applause. I would love to see Groupie Doll end her career with a win, but Dance to Bristol is my pick for this race.
7th Race - Santa Anita Park - Saturday, November 2nd, 2013

With the only right hand turn in North America, if you have experience on the downhill course, its to your advantage. Mizdirection loves this course and she is coming off a layoff which is her speciality. Reneesgotzip goes from synth to turf while Capo Bastone returns to the coast where he started his career. Miz is my pick in here, but I would not be suprised if Tightend Touchdown gets it done.

Gotta feel bad for Dale Romans as Cleburne came up with bucked shins. Bad timing. Still, he does have Medal Count in here. The Road to the Derby begins here. Bond Holder and Havana won the two major preps for this race, We Miss Artie's win was on synthetic, Diamond Bachelor goes from turf to dirt, but I like New Year's Day in this race. This is a step up for him though.
9th Race - Santa Anita Park - Saturday, November 2nd, 2013

12 Real Solution 4 C L 126 Castellano Javier Brown Chad C.
I've come to the conclusion that Little Mike is like "a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get" (quote from Forest Gump). A win here would be an emotional one for the barn who just lost the recently retired Dullahan to colic. The Kittens (Big Blue Kitten and Real Solution) has have major chances. Skyring had a great spring, but hasn't done much since. Indy Point rebounded from the Arlington Million to win in his last. Point of Entry is coming off an injury. I gotta go with The Fugue. She had rotten luck in last year's F/M Turf and has beaten the boys this year.

12 Laugh Track 4 C L 126 Smith Mike E. Casse Mark E.
This race took a major and heartbreaking hit when Pointsoffthebench broke down and was euthanized last Saturday. Thus we have a wide open race. Trinniberg is not the same horse he was last year. Private Zone won the Vosburgh. Justin Phillip and Fast Bullet entry will be tough. Secret Circle won the defunct Juvenile Sprint 2 years ago. I honestly don't have a much of an opinon on this race, but I think Private Zone will win.

Horse of the Year honors are not on the line for Wise Dan after his loss in the off the turf Shadwell Mile. Olympic Glory isn't the best European miler (that belongs to his stablemate Tornado who is skipping the race). Silver Max defeated the reigning HOY in the Shadwell and No Jet Lag won the prep race at Santa Anita. My 1-2 in this race are He Be Fire N Ice and Za Approval.

Tough break for Ron with all the speed in this race he would have benifited from it. This is the last hurrah for Declaration of War and Paynter (more coming soon no doubt). A win by Will Take Charge or Palace Malice will give them 3yo honors, a win by Game On Dude and he's HOY. Mucho Macho Man finally got his G1 win in his last, Moreno might be a little over his head in this race the same goes with Last Gunfighter. In the end I think Bob Baffert will end up in the Winner's Circle, with a fairy tale ending. I think Paynter will suprise everyone once again and win. MMM for second and Dude for third.
Sunday I will be having my Winners and Losers post. May all the horses return safe and sound!
