Happy Travers week! With the race on Saturday, I thought it would be a good time to look at the sires of the horses who might head to this year's race.

Atigun	Istan (Gone West)	3rd in the Belmont and 6th in the Jim Dandy.	Won the Turfway Fall Championship and Ack Ack.
Five Sixteen	Invasor (ARG) (Candy Stripes)	5th in the Belmont, runner up in the Curlin.	Triple Crown winner in Uruguay, BCC and DWC winner. Won the 2006 Whitney.
Alpha	Bernardini (A.P. Indy)	12th in the Derby, won the Jim Dandy.	Preakness winner. Won the 2006 Jim Dandy and Travers.
Stealcase	Lawyer Ron (Langfur)	2nd in the Matt Winn, 3rd in the Haskell.	Won the 2007 Whitney and Woodward over the surface.
