Here are who I think are the top horses for each division (sans 2yo's). Yes I know there are many ties, but I can't seperate many of these divisions! Most of them are in the females.
3yo Filly
1a. Sarah's Secret- Lookout for this horse, she could be a suprise pick for the Eclipse if she keeps her form.
1b. Winter Memories- Like #1a, she is an awesome horse.
2. Plum Pretty- Not sure what to really think about her.
3. May Day Rose- If she goes in the Test, watch out!
4. It's Tricky- Fills a good mile spot, if she where to go two turns she needs cool weather.
5. Bitzy Caroline- Beat her early blooming stablemate Katmanblu in the Regret.
6. St. John's River- Heading to my neck of the woods!
7. Royal Delta- keep an eye on this filly as well as #2.
3yo Colt
1. Shackleford- With Animal Kingdom out for possibly the year, he inherits the top spot.
2. Pants on Fire- Rebounds from a bad Derby with a win in the Pegasus.
3. Ruler on Ice- Sure he's the G1 winner of the two stablemates, but I just have a feeling that he is a slop specialist.
4. Stay Thirsty- Will he follow in his sire's footsteps or backpeddle like his big brother.
5. Coil- The unknown from Cali, could be the horse that finally makes Point Given the real deal.
Older Female
1a. Havre de Grace- Mile and quarter test at her hometrack is next
1b. Awesome Maria- Nice win today in the Phipps. Hopefully a matchup with 1a is next.
1c. Blind Luck- She's BACK!!! Lets hope these three meet up in a certin mile and a quarter race that I will be seeing in person hopefully?
2. Payton d'Oro- probley a bit lower then the top three, but we'll see.
3. Switch- Will give May Day Rose a run for her money in the F/M Sprint.
4. Super Espresso- Got beat by a large margin today, but a star in the making.
5. Tiz Mis Sue- Almost stole the Obeah from 1a.
Older Male
1a. Awesome Gem- You know this division is bad when the leader is 8 and going to not defend his HGC title.
1b. Tizway- Almost forgot him! Met Mile winner, top horse on the East Coast.
2. First Dude- Finally broke through to win a stakes, but he just seems to be a horse who either wins or fails miserbly.
3. Game on Dude- Two tough beats in his last two, should be the favorite off his suprise Big Cap win.
4. Twirling Candy- Forgot about him in my Twitter Top 5. Not entirely sold on him, as I really think a mile and a quarter is too long for him.
5. Mission Impazible- Nailed at the wire in the Stephen Foster today. Also think a mile and a quarter is too long for him.
6. Apart- 3rd in the Foster, but my early Classic pick.
7. Pool Play- IMO a fluke Foster winner.
Turf Female
1. Keertana- Beat the boys last time out.
2. Wasted Tears- Doesn't really get the respect she deserves.
3a. Sarah's Secret- Not sure if she can go the same distance as Keertana, but deserves to be here as well.
3b. Winter Memories- This is a special, special filly.
4. Sugarinthemorning- flattered #3a today
5. C.S. Silk- looks like MDO's first star is finally showing what she's made of.
6. Bitzy Caroline- Has surpassed her stablemate.
Turf Male
1. Mission Approved- Yeah it's a bad division when the leader is a former claimer.
2. Gio Ponti- Might have needed a race... and new jockey
3. Banned- If he learns to not fight, could be a special horse
4. Midnight Interlude- Dear Bob: Keep him on turf! He could be the new War Chant since well his sire War Chant.
5. Sidney's Candy- Could have the best shot to upset the Big Three (Canford Cliffs, Frankel and Goldicova) for the US.
6. Acclimation- a Shake the Bank type
Female Sprinter
1. Sassy Image- Has found a new calling at 4.
2. Hilda's Passion- This division is loaded.
3. Switch- A Hard Spun like horse, G1 winning sprinter, has the stamina to stay long.
4. May Day Rose- I personally think the #3 yo filly sprinter
5. Pomeroy's Pistol- Can she hang with #4?
Male Sprinter
1. Trappe Shot- Another one who has found a new calling. My early Eclipse pick.
2. Big Drama- Defending champ will have try to show he has not lost form off a layoff once he returns.
3. Amazombie- Has done nothing wrong all year, even if he was DQ'ed last time out.
4. Morning Line- Injury hurts, but he's still one of the best.
5. Aprority- #2's stablemate, a nice horse on his own.
