Sometimes life changes in an instant. That happend today to the Jerry Hollendorfer barn when a tragedy happend. Tuscan Evening who was not only the best turf female in the US, but America's best hope to win a BC Turf race this year passed away unexpectly this morning. Early reports are that she suffered a heart attack after her work this morning. I wasn't a huge fan of hers, but she always showed her heart in all of her races. In her memory here is her Gamely win which she won early this season for her first Grade 1. RIP Tuscan Evening.
I think a cardiac screening should be done on horses on the race track if it is not already being done. I also think that drugs need to be limited due to their side effects.
