Now that Derby is over, we look foward to the Preakness. Mine That Bird is going, link. This is great news after yesterday, when his connections said that he was iffy for the race. If he wins, we may have a Triple Crown winner as he has the pedigree to go a mile and half. However there are some really nice horses standing in his way, including the horse who I think will win the race in Take the Points. Why? He's faced the Californians, including Derby runner up Pioneerof the Nile, and he has wins over dirt. Others going, include Big Drama who crossed the line first in the Swale, but was DQ'ed for interference.
I'm taking off tomarrow, but stay tuned on Weds for the Pedigree Spotlights on Lotta Kim and Mining My Own, the dams of Rachel Alexandra and Mine That Bird resepctivly. Thurs, will be the Stallion Spotlights and Friday, who was Preakness? I'll tell you.
I was so glad when I saw the announcement today the Mine That Bird will be heading to Pimlico. Looking forward to seeing who else lines up in the starting gate!
