I wasn't going to post tonight, but I felt that I should give my respects.
Eddie Logan, who had been working at Santa Anita since 1934 which was when the track opened, passed away today at the age of 98. Article
I had never heard of Mr. Logan until reading that he was ill on Thoroughbred Champions forum. He was a shoeshiner there, and a really good friend to trainers and jockeys. Santa Anita has a stakes race named in his honor in December, that was won by the Exceed And Excel colt Flashmans Papers (GB).
