I can't believe it's here! Next Saturday and Sunday are the two biggest days of the Delaware meet. Starting on Saturday in the Delaware Oaks and then on Sunday in the Delaware Handicap. Unfortanlly it looks like that Rachel Alexandra will not be among those going in the DelCap. While I'm not suprised, I'm disapointed at the same time.
With that being said, depending who goes (other then Rach), this should be a walk in the park for Unbridled Belle. She is just too good on the Delaware surface. The Oaks looks like the better race of the two, Bon Jovi Girl should be the favorite, unless Hightap comes and possibly Malibu Prayer.
The Barbaro, I have absolutly no idea. This Haskell prep hasn't had the best of luck lately, so who knows who will show up. Plus with the VA Derby the day before this year, I'm not sure.
Speaking of BJG, her brother Gio Ponti picked up his 3rd G1 in a row yesterday in the Man O' War. Also congrats to Game Face who won the Princess Rooney and Rail Trip who won what could be the final Hollywood Gold Cup at Hollywood.
The next few days I will be previewing each stakes race to be run next Sat. and Sun. cultimating in the Delaware Oaks preview on Friday and the Delaware Handicap on Saturday. (Since there are six stakes races, three each day)

Weekend Recap
I had an okay birthday yesterday. I wasn't anything special, but fun otherwise (Check Yarn Talk later for a full recap of my birthday).
Anyway, alot to recap today, so lets get started. First off the Americans at Royal Ascot almost got a Group 1 win as Cannonball ridden by Oliver Peslier (Corey Nakatani was supposed to ride, I wonder if he decided to stay in Cali.), got nosed out in the Golden Jubaliee. Not sure what his plans are for US races, but he could end up being the favorite in either the Sprint or Turf Sprint at the Breeder's Cup.
I do have pictures from an extremly rainy Delaware Park from Saturday, however I'm still editing them, and not all of them are up on my gallery just yet. So, I'm hopeful to get it all done by the end of next weekend. But the two stakes races where awesome and heartbreaking at the same time. First up in the Obeah, Unbridled Belle pretty much showed why she loves DP by romping home in the slop. She'll be one of the favorites for the Delaware Handicap. Sadly, All Smiles broke down in the race and dumped her jockey right afterwards, however I read that she made it. Of course she's not out of the woods yet, but hopefully an update on her comes soon. In the Susan's Girl, Bon Jovi Girl turned the tables on Payton d'Oro. I really wouldn't be suprised if BJG is nominated for both the Oaks and DelCap, as she has already beaten older females and the mile and quarter distance shouldn't be a problem. However with that being said, I think she is more likely for the Oaks. Coffee in Bed was pulled up in the Susan's Girl, so if anyone knows how she is, please leave a comment on this post.
That was just the begining of "Lets flatter Rachel Alexandra Day" (Bon Jovi Girl faced Rach at Oaklawn). At Charles Town that night, Preakness 5th place finisher Big Drama rebounded from his last two races and offically won for the first time as a three year old (he crossed the line first in the Swale, but was DQ'ed to second). Also running on Saturday, Take the Points was able to rebound to finish 4th (I think), in the Colonial Turf Cup.
Sunday was supposed to be a cornation for Medaglia d'Oro as a sire, however it turned into redemption for AP Indy. First off at Belmont, the royally bred With Flying Colors (Should I go through her pedigree, other then being by the 1992 Belmont winner, she is out of the wonderful My Flag, who in turn is out of Personal Ensign. Of course this makes her a half sister to Storm Flag Flying), upset G1 winner Cocoa Beach in a listed stakes. I'm not sure what's next for her, but I'm hoping they decide to nominate her for the DelCap as a prep for her grandmother's race (Big sis won that race in 2004). Distance wouldn't be a problem and would give Belle a challenge.
Then it was up to Woodbine for the first leg of the Canadian Triple Crown. I had chosen the MDO filly Tasty Temptation to win with Milwaukee Appeal finishing second and Eye of the Lepoard finishing third. Well the good news is niether of them did horribly, the bad news is I had them in the wrong order. Congrats to Lepoard and his owners Sam-Son Farm. Also this means that both the winners of the two biggest 3yo races in North America had the same broodmare sire, Smart Strike (see even with English Channel and Curlin retired he's making a name for himself). This is their first win in the QP since 2001. Milwaukee Appeal was third and Tasty Temptation finished fourth. A long shot (whose name is escaping me right now) was second. Why was it redemption for AP Indy? Two words: Friesan Fire. That was an extremly horrible Triple Crown. Plus Indy maybe pensioned soon.

Rough weekend
It was a rough weekend choosing horses and life wise for me. I lost my beloved spaniel mix Daisy today and well Kip did not have a good race. However niether did Indian Blessing in her US seasonal debut, or Music Note in her season debut. Also not having a good weekend, Einstein who was denied to become the second horse to win Grade 1's on turf,dirt and synthtic. It was tough weekend to be the favorite in a race.
Next weekend is DelCap preview day with the Obeah and Susan's Girl. I have no clue who is going into these two races. While defending Obeah champ Unbridled Belle was nominated, defending Susan's Girl winner Weathered was not. The big name for the Susan's Girl to be nominated was Payton d'Oro, although she may go into the Mother Goose. So both of these races may end being on the weak side, but we shall see.
Next weekend is DelCap preview day with the Obeah and Susan's Girl. I have no clue who is going into these two races. Mine That Rachel (Derby and Oaks Recap)
After yesterday's pretty neat win by Mine That Bird, I've reliazed that his trainer isn't that great. For instance, Chip Woolley this year had won, ONE race. Also he's based in New Mexico is a red flag. And he's uncommitted to the Preakness, (that is not as much as a red flag considering his grandsire Grindstone was retired after his Derby win, but still I rather see him finish 4th in the Preakness, then see him not rn in all.) His owners are apprently connected to former Sen. Ted Stevens, another red flag. So as much as I love Birdstone and like Calvin Borel, I just can't get behind Mine's connections. But I still like him.
Rachel Alexandra, however, I can. Hal Wiggins and Dolphus Morrison seem to be doing what's best for her. And if they want to stay against the girls, more power to them. She hasn't faced Justwhistledixie yet, and who knows a Music Note may show up (And hopefully it's her niece Royal Ballade or Song of Soloman, Rockport Harbor's full sister, although she is recovering from a knee injury). The Acorn is next for her on Belmont day, sounds like that this Rachel may have to take a road trip to Elmont, New York.

A DQ and an Quality Upset (Weekend Recap Part 2)
First off this part of the Weekend Recap will be different for the final time for a couple of weeks. Especially next week when you have the final Cal, NY and IL preps.
First off in the Swale S.: Big Drama crossed the line first, but was DQ'ed to second after bumping with This Ones For Phil. Custom of Carlos was third, and I had the trifecta in order yahoo!! No charts this week sorry!! By guess is that the Smile will be in Phil's future along with the King's Bishop. Look for Drama to make noice in the sprint divideson as well.
The FL Derby I also had the trifecta, but not in the right order. Quality Road upset Dunkirk to make himself one of the favorites for the Run for the Roses. What I liked about the race was that QR looked Dunkirk in the eye and ran by him. Do I think he'll win the Derby, no. But, this is an Elusive Quality foal we are talking about and they can defay everything. Nice job by Dunkirk for doing so well in his stakes debut, Theregoesjojo was third. Dunkirk will need help to get into the race, so I would look for him in the Preakness instead.
Next weekend is three major preps: Santa Anita Derby, Ill Derby and Wood Memorial. I also will have more races to preview.
One more thing before I leave for tonight, last week during the Lane's End S. it was announced that I Want Revenge was going to have half of his interest sold. Of course the first name to come to mind was IEAH. Well that rumor turned out to be true, he will stay with his current trainer though, which is a little suprising as one would think he would switch over to Rick Dutrow as he's based on the East Coast. Weekend Recap (Part 1)
I really don't have alot of time to do a weekend recap in one day, so I'll split into today and tomarrow.
First off, Regal Ransom upset Desert Party in the UAE Derby. Both are expected to be in the Kentucky Derby and honestly, I like RR's chances more. He's by Distorted Humor and is by Godolphin.
WinStar had their own horse win a race to in Well Armed going gate to wire in the World Cup. Many, including myself call him the Comeback kid. And as you will see in the video below, you will see why.
Thankfully he has recovered from that hip injury to take the worlds richest race. Here is a video of his win.
This also was the final Dubai meet on dirt and at Nal Al Sheba. Next year it will be held at Maydan and will be held on synthtic (I believe Tapata). Huge congrats to WinStar Farm his owners, Eion Harty his trainer and jockey Aaron Gryder. Well Armed is by DH's stallionmate at WinStar 2 time Breeder's Cup Classic winner Tiznow.
The two Florida races will be recaped tomarrow.

Not really a Weekend Recap, and some big news upcoming
I really don't have time to do a big weekend recap today, due to lack of time. But I will say that Pioneerof the Nile, Win Willy, Musket Man, Freisan Fire, Rachel Alexandra and Just Jenda won their respective races in what I previewed.
The biggest non suprise- Rachel Alexandra, her losing would have been a total dispointment. Hopefully she does well in her next race, which should be the Fantasy Stakes.
Biggest suprise- Win Willy, wow what a win. As I've stated before, I'm not a Old Fashioned fan, so of course I'm glad he lost. I actually really like Willy's chances in the AR Derby and he could easily suprise people to show he's no fluke. Huge congrats and good luck in the AR Derby.

Weekend Recap
Welcome to the Weekend Recap! I have alot to talk about and have one Beyer ready to go, but I will give it to you tomorrow with the rest of them. Also for one week only, I'm using DRF charts instead of Equibase, because I was looking up beyers on DRF.com.
Gotham Stakes: I Want Revenge wins and boy was impressive. Imperial Council, who I had picked to win, rallied for second and Mr. Fantasy who I had to finished second, finished third. Masala who had finishing third, finished fourth So I had the right order, just not in the three spots I needed them to be in. I Want Revenge is by Stephen Got Even. Chart
Winnings: $0
Razorback Stakes: Let It Rock, who I had finishing third, won this very wild race. Prom Shoes and Jonesboro where a little bit dispointing, but hopefully the both of them will bounce back in their next race. I will say that Let It Rock, who is by Trippi won't have a chance in the Oaklawn Handicap, especially if Tiago comes in from California. Chart
Winnings: $4.40
Santa Anita Oaks: Wow! Stardom Bound was able to squeak by the second longest shot on the board, Third Dawn to win it. It looked like she was going to lose, but wow. I don't think she will be going to the SA Derby and just be ready to face Rachel Alexandra in the Oaks. Of course Stardom Bound is by Tapit. Miss Silver Brook was seventh, and Hooh Why was third. Chart
Winnings: $7.80
Kilroe Mile: I would like to say that I still don't like him, but yay for Gio Ponti! Because Mast Track scratched, I won't take the show payoff to be fair since I didn't name a replacement. Ventura got beat by a nose and very proud of Dixie Chatter for getting third. Gio Ponti is Bon Jovi Girl's big brother and is by Tale of the Cat. Chart
Winnings: $3.00
Santa Anita Handicap: Will the real Einstein bred in Brazil and by Spend a Buck please stand up. That was an awesome race by him. All he needs is a dirt G1 win and he'll join Lava Man as the only horses to win G1's on turf, dirt and synthetics. Court Vision and Cowboy Cal where major disappointments. My guess is that he might go back for the Hollywood Gold Cup and just stay on turf on the East Coast. But I would love to see him in a major east coast race. Chart

Total winnings for Weekend: $19.80
Overall, it was a hit and miss weekend. While I won't preview the Azeri that's today at Oaklawn, I really hope Maren's Meadow does well.
Beyers and Top 5 tomorrow. Also I'm sorry to say that Blue Exit was euthanized after the BigCap yesterday. :( I hope he is rememberd with great dignity.

Weekend Recap, Three off the TC Trail
So I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend! Alot has happend with the Derby picture, including three horses saying goodbye to the Triple Crown.
First off is Notonthesamepage and Break Water Edison, both who did not do well in yesterday's FOY will be taking some time off and heading to sprints. The following is from Bloodhorse.com, the reason why I'm not posting a link, because the first half of the article has nothing to do with these two horses.
Also off the trail for the TC is last year's BC Juvi winner, Midshipman. This is not good news for Godolphin who bought him from the McNairs when Darley bought Stonerside last year. They do have a good shot with Desert Party, but he's going have to run the race of his life to beat the four year olds in the UAE Derby and then come back home to run in the KY Derby. Link to the Midshipman article. BTW this means that Street Sense will remain the only Juvi/Derby winner, until at least next year.
Now to weekend recaps.
I'm going ahead and skipping the claiming race as Arcata finished second to last :(, one finished fourth and the other scratched. So total for this race is $0.
Styime: Barrier Reef was the only one who hit the board with him winning. Researcher and Barcola did okay, but I'm really pleased with Mateca who finished fourth in his first try in open company. Chart
Fountian of Youth: I had Capt. Candyman Can, Theregoesjojo and Beethoven. Well Quality Road suprised me with a very impressive win. Jojo and Beethoven got second and third respectvlly and Capt. was fourth. Chart
Sham Stakes: I had The Pamplemousse, Take the Points, Mr. Hot Stuff. Can I just say that I rock! I had the top three in order! Nice job by all three of them. Chart
I will have an updated earnings probley tomarrow, as it's supposed to snow here, and well I won't have anything to do.
Before I wrap up this post. There is one other race I would like to share with you. Yesterday at Oaklawn was the Mountian Valley Stakes. It's a six furlong sprint for 3yo's, and is best known for Afleet Alex's 3yo debut (this was before his poor Rebel (In which Jeremy Rose was not riding him for the only time in his life) and amazing AR Derby). Well a horse very near and dear to my heart, Citizen won the race as the longest shot on the board. How much did he pay? $60.00! I've been following him since his debut, he's a former Stonerside horse who is by City Zip out of Rachel's Star (hence I put him in my stable, since well my name is Rachel :P). Here's the chart.

First off is Notonthesamepage and Break Water Edison, both who did not do well in yesterday's FOY will be taking some time off and heading to sprints. The following is from Bloodhorse.com, the reason why I'm not posting a link, because the first half of the article has nothing to do with these two horses.
Eli Gindi’s Break Water Edison was scheduled for X-rays, a head-to-toe
once-over, and likely a
nuclear scan as trainer John Kimmel seeks to explain
why the 3-year-old son of Lemon Drop Kid had to be pulled up in the stretch
of the Fountain of Youth Stakes. The winner of the Nashua Stakes (gr. III) at
Aqueduct Nov. 3 has now finished last in his two stakes attempts at
Gulfstream Park, and the way he ran Feb. 28 under jockey Eibar Coa has Kimmel, a
licensed
veterinarian, concerned about what the tests will find.
“Eibar
said he seemed to put himself in a great position until they got into the turn,”
said Kimmel. “He switched his lead and immediately took himself off the bridle
and kept
switching back so that Eibar thought he hurt himself. He tried to
protect the
horse and the horse seemed pretty willing to pull himself up.“We
don’t know
yet, but if these X-rays don’t show anything, I have a feeling
the nuclear scan
will. A lot of times the X-rays will come back clean, but
the scintigraphy will
light up bruises on the cannon bone. I hope that’s not
the case, because that’s
60-90 days right there, and that would pretty much
wipe out his season.”
Scintigraphy is a diagnostic test in which a
two-dimensional picture
of a body-radiation source is obtained through the
use of radioisotopes.

suffered pulmonary bleeding during the Fountain of Youth
and will be sent to a
hyperbaric chamber and pointed to shorter races in the
future. “He bled
pretty bad,” said trainer Wesley Ward. “It’s something
we’ve been fighting with
him and it came out again yesterday. It’s
unfortunate, but I think we’ve got the
makings of a pretty good miler.
That’s where we will look from
here.” Notonthesamepage was an impressive
front-running winner of the
Spectacular Bid Jan. 3. With a fast pace
expected in the Fountain of
Youth, Ken Ramsey, Ward, and jockey Elvis
Trujillo decided to experiment with
taking back off the pace. Ramsey now
regrets that call. “I told them let’s
see if he can take back, but it now
looks like that put stress on him,” Ramsey
said. “We’ve studied why horses
bleed like this and it’s always the stress. We
thought maybe we could take
him back and send him a signal when it was time to
go, but instead it just
stressed him out. It was bad timing.”
Also off the trail for the TC is last year's BC Juvi winner, Midshipman. This is not good news for Godolphin who bought him from the McNairs when Darley bought Stonerside last year. They do have a good shot with Desert Party, but he's going have to run the race of his life to beat the four year olds in the UAE Derby and then come back home to run in the KY Derby. Link to the Midshipman article. BTW this means that Street Sense will remain the only Juvi/Derby winner, until at least next year.

I'm going ahead and skipping the claiming race as Arcata finished second to last :(, one finished fourth and the other scratched. So total for this race is $0.
Styime: Barrier Reef was the only one who hit the board with him winning. Researcher and Barcola did okay, but I'm really pleased with Mateca who finished fourth in his first try in open company. Chart
Fountian of Youth: I had Capt. Candyman Can, Theregoesjojo and Beethoven. Well Quality Road suprised me with a very impressive win. Jojo and Beethoven got second and third respectvlly and Capt. was fourth. Chart
Sham Stakes: I had The Pamplemousse, Take the Points, Mr. Hot Stuff. Can I just say that I rock! I had the top three in order! Nice job by all three of them. Chart
I will have an updated earnings probley tomarrow, as it's supposed to snow here, and well I won't have anything to do.
Before I wrap up this post. There is one other race I would like to share with you. Yesterday at Oaklawn was the Mountian Valley Stakes. It's a six furlong sprint for 3yo's, and is best known for Afleet Alex's 3yo debut (this was before his poor Rebel (In which Jeremy Rose was not riding him for the only time in his life) and amazing AR Derby). Well a horse very near and dear to my heart, Citizen won the race as the longest shot on the board. How much did he pay? $60.00! I've been following him since his debut, he's a former Stonerside horse who is by City Zip out of Rachel's Star (hence I put him in my stable, since well my name is Rachel :P). Here's the chart.

Rachel is Old Fashioned (Aka Weekend recap), Nerud shares trophies with Hall of Fame
Hehe I hope you enjoyed the title of this post. But here is your weekend recap. Chocolate Candy won the El Camino Real Derby, he is heading to Santa Anita next for either one more prep or going strait into the SA Derby. Also Stardom Bound is heading to the Santa Anita Oaks link.
The big two Oaks/Derby preps of the weekend where at Oaklawn Park. It started the trail for Smarty Jones, Afleet Alex, Lawyer Ron, Hard Spun and Curlin as well as, last year the late great Eight Belles. The two big horses there this year are the Unbridled's Song colt Old Fashioned and the Medagila d'Oro filly Rachel Alexandra.
Rach was up first in the Martha Washington, and she did not dispoint. I haven't seen a replay yet, but it looked like it was visually impressive. Chart
Old Fashioned countered today in the Southwest, the time was a little bit slower, but they did go faster at the beggining and the track was a bit slower today. Chart
Overall a nice weekend for the both of them and it will be interesting in how they do in their next preps respectivley. I'll have beyers for all the major stakes races (Including those of newly crowned G1 winner Santa Terasita) tomarrow.
One more thing for tonight, John Nerud the Hall of Fame trainer, has bequethed the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame with his collection of awards from horses such as Dr. Fager and Cozzene. You can read more about it here.

Weekend Recap
Here are the recaps for this weekend. Due to a lack of time, I'm not going to do the earnings for each race. But I will put the total in tomarrow's post.
First off the race that I didn't talk about the San Antonio was won by Magum.
Whirlaway (Aquaduct): I had Haynesfield, Peace Town and Mike From Queens. Well Haynesfield stamped himself as the early Wood favorite. It's really too early to tell how he'll do with more distance, although this was a huge step forward. Peace Town was a bit of a disapointment. Mike From Queens was third. Haynesfield is by Speightstown. Chart
Mineshaft (Fair Grounds): I had Honest Man, Grasshopper and My Pal Charlie. Honest Man was very impressive in his race and very pleased that he won. Grasshopper is just not the same horse who gave Street Sense a run for his money. Charlie just missed getting third. Honest Man is by Unbridled's Song. Chart
Silverbulletday (Fair Grounds): I had Just Jenda, Four Gifts and War Echo. I had the trifecta, just not in the right order, pooh! War Echo wins with Four Gifts second and Just Jenda third. It will be very interesting how these three do in the Fair Grounds Oaks. The winner is by Tapit. Chart
Risen Star (Fair Grounds): I had Friesian Fire, Giant Oak and It Happend Again. Friesian Fire stamped himself as the LA Derby favorite. Giant Oak ran into some traffic and finished fifth. It Happend Again was tenth. I can not wait for the Friesian Fire vs Patena round 2 in the LA Derby. FF is by AP Indy. Chart
Las Virgenes (Santa Anita): I had Saucey Evening, Stardom Bound and Pinkerella. I've got to say, Stardom overcame traffic trouble to win. She's heading to the Santa Anita Derby next, it will be very interesting if she does well there. If not and Patena does well in the LA Derby, she'll head to the Oaks (have the same owner). She's by Tapit. Chart
Robert B. Lewis (Santa Anita): I had Pioneerof the Nile, Brother Keith and I Want Revenge. Pioneer won and I Want Revenge finished third. Pioneer is by Empire Maker. Chart
Strub (Santa Anita): I had Dixie Chatter, Cowboy Cal and Gio Ponti. Cal is amazing as he wins the final leg of the Strub series. Dixie just missed out on hitting the board, and Gio was fifth. Cal is by Giant's Causeway Chart
Essex (Oaklawn): I had Prom Shoes, Solar Flare and Going Ballastic. I'm going to go a little bit of fan girlish right now. But YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fan girl moment over. But seriously, I fell in love with Shoes after seeing his picture on a forum 2 years ago as a three year old. I was somewhat of a fan of his big brother Wildcat Shoes. Right now he's tied for first for my favorite horse in training (with Kip Deville). And I was totally confident he would do well here. No comment on Solar Flare and Going Ballastic. Prom Shoes is by Include. Chart

Weekend Recap (1/31 and 2/1, 2009)
Saturday as for picking the winners I give myself a F. For chooses for hitting the board, I give myself an A. What I’ve decided to do is depending on where I put them in my predictions (Win, Place, Show), that would be the payoff that I would take.
Race 1 (Gulfstream) I had Well Positioned first, Take the Points finishing second and Masla finishing third. Two of those three had hit the board. Except I had them in the wrong places. Take the Points won with Masla finishing second. Well Positioned was second to last, so hopefully he’s ok. Take the Points is by Even the Score.

Holy Bull Stakes (Gulfstream): I had Rockland, Beethoven and West Side Bernie. Only West Side Bernie finished in the top three. Ironically, he finished exactly where I had him in third place. Saratoga Sinner won the Holy Bull and is by Harlan’s Holliday. Beethoven was fourth and Rockland a very disappointing eighth.

Race 8 (Gulfstream): I had Nicanor, Single Malt and Boyhood Dream. Now while Single Malt was the only one to finish in the top three (he finished third), it was a disappointing, but promising start for Nicanor. While the chart says that he finished 10th (third to last), he actually had rushed up at the beginning of the race and looked to stay in contention, but he grabbed a quarter and his jockey Edgar Prado, wisely decided to ease him and see how bad the damage was. From the reports it sounds like that the grabbed quarter is not that bad. I look forward to his next race and hopefully a win. No one is expecting him to become the second coming of his brother, but I hope he has a good career in front of him. Warrior’s Reward by Medagila D’ Oro won the race.

Donn Handicap (Gulfstream): I had Anak Nakal, Einstein and Albertus Maximus. Once again only two finished in the top three. I knew that my 2nd and 3rd place finishers where actually going to hit the board, but I wanted so value in this race which is why I went with who I did (I helps that I like his name in English which is Mischievous Child.) Well before I talk about how much I should have put the winner 2nd and the 3rd place finisher third. I would like to give a shout out to the 2nd place finisher Finallymadeit, I had him finishing up track, but he gave Maximus all that he can handle. Einstein did okay, but wished he waited until today’s race to run. But either way congrats to Maximus who is by Albert the Great. Off to Dubai! (And what about Anak, well he 7th)

Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap (Gulfstream): I had Kip Deville, Court Vision and Red Rocks. Two winners this weekend yahoo! Kip held off a very gutsy Just as Well to win. Court was third, so not bad for this race. Red however, was a very disappointing second to last place and his second really bad start in the row. I hope he’s ok, but Kip is the man. Next possible stop for Kip, could be Dubai. So, he’ll be up against some very tough horses. Kip is by Court Vision’s full brother Kipling.

A few other notes from this past weekend, Capt. Candyman Can won the Hutchenson at Gulfstream on Friday, beating highley regarded horses Hello Broadway and Break Water Edison. The first G1 for the 3yo's is this Saturday at Santa Anita (I'll do the preview later on this week). Also the Risen Star field is starting take shape Link .
Tomarrow I hope to have the Beyers of this weekend's stakes races, plus the first Thoroughbred Chat Top Five for overall horses, older male, older female, 3yo male and 3yo female.
