Final Oaks Top 14

For the third week in a row we have a new #1 horse. Also with major preps for the race just about done, this will be the final list. All are now avaliable to see.

Oaks Top 14 4/7

We have a new number 1 this week in R Heat Lightning. The question is, how long will she be number one will it just be a week? Or will it be longer? We'll find out this weekend as #'s 2 and 9 will be running in the Ashland. Here is this week's list:

Oaks Top 14 3/17

Happy St. Paddy's Day! This week's list has brough alot of luck to Joyful Victory as she zips up the list. The same can't be said about her new stablemate Summer Sioree. Once again no Other Horses Considered. The girls are off prep running the next few weeks. They will be returning in 2 weeks.

Oaks Top 14 3/10

Here it is! I was being a little bit lazy this week so there is no last week rating, where the horse will be going next or other horses considered. Those will be returning next week however since we'll see more of how it plays out after the Honeybee. The one change is that Turbulent Descent is out after her SA Oaks win due to her trainer not thinking she could go nine furlongs.

After a week off the girls list is back! Really no major changes with Kathmanblu winning, there is really on one prep this upcoming weekend so there may or may not be a list next week. I haven't made a full decision though on that. Either way whatever it is we will have all 14 fillies spots filled and there will be some horses knocked off the list time to time. Here is this weeks list:

Oaks Top 14 2/10

New week, a brand new #1 filly for the Oaks. Thus the ways of the topsy turvy world of horse racing, here is the list.



The girls will be off next week like the boys where off this week. Really the only prep for this weekend is the Martha Washington, and the way the weather has been at Oaklawn who knows what will happen. In 2 weeks though we should have all 14 spots taken up, then the real fun gets to begin.

It will be interesting what happens after this weekend's 1 vs 5 vs Zazu. These three fillies have faced off before, but May and Zazu now have dirt experience something Turbulent Descent has yet to face.

The Oaks list expand to 12 next week.

Derby and Oaks Lists for 1/27

Yes the Derby list is a day late, but because of the exciting news of Zenyatta's first mate, I moved it back a day. This weeks list as actually very hard to put together because we are really going to see the first solid preps this weekend. The plan is for the lists to be out on their respective days next week.

Oaks Top 14- January 20

First Oaks list of the year and we have a brand new #1! This is the first change for either list, however it comes at a price. With the injury to Awesome Feather, she was taken off the list. So who replaced her? Well take a look!

December 16 Oaks Top 14

Here is the final list for 2010, the next update will be January 20th which is after the first preps of the year on both the East and West Coasts.

Introducing the Oaks Top 14

The Run for the Lillies is approching and it's approching fast. Starting today and continuing on Thursdays for the rest of the time, I will post a list that will be simlar to the Derby Top 20. Except for instead of 20 horses, it will be 14 as that is the limit for the Oaks. For tonight, there will just be 5 horses and horses will be added as they start to seperate themselves from the pack.



The next update will be on December 16th which is after the Hollywood Starlet.
