Breeding is something that has interested me for the past few years. As you know I'm working on a spreadsheet of Hard Spun Foals, which has been an amazing experience and really has opened by eyes. (Long story) By doing this project it has prequipted my interest even more, and I have experience with researching pedigrees before. A few years ago I was really interested in Mr. Prospector and started to work with someone to look up all the horses who had Mr. P in their pedigree. However, that kinda got out of hand on my behalf and really didn't follow up on things. That didn't discoruge me for researching pedigrees.
For this reason, the Stallion Spotlights are branching out into a whole new blog. This blog will be called The Breeding Side and will really be focusing on the stallions and broodmares themselves. Also the Sales will be posted here as (i.e. Fasig-Tipton, Keenland, Tattersalls, Ocala, ect.). I will have links to alll the Stallion Spotlight posts over there as well. Plus starting next week, I will be tracking the foals of Stallions I've already profiled, and that spreadsheet will also be over there). With this site going up, this means there will be no Stallion Spotlights on Thoroughbred Chat. I did this as I felt that the Breeding aspect of my love of thoroughbreds deserved it's own blog. Now the question will be how much I will be able to post in it, considering I kept numerous blogs (don't ask, once you have a blog you can't just have one). And don't worry for those of you who follow me on twitter, I will be keeping all of the The Breeding Side posts in my Tbchat twitter profile.
